AMMATI

(Am-ma-tea)

The ammati, also known as the beast of the north, is the apex predator of the tundra. Their skin is a dark purple, and they have a light gray mane with bright white streaks running through it. Their mane grows darker around their face. Two enormous horns sit behind their large, pointed ears, and another three sit atop their head. Adding to the ammatis’ fearsome look are two small tusks.

A thick coat of muscle covers the ammatis’ body, keeping them warm in the freezing north of Affer. Its paws are larger than a human’s head, and three dense claws let the beast kill their prey with ease. A strong jaw and jagged teeth make snapping through bone and cutting into muscle easy. Beady red eyes rest in their head, capable of detecting heat signatures, allowing them to hunt even when their prey hides under the mounds of snow.
