ELVES
Elves are the weakest species on Affer and most similar to humans. They both have red blood and similar builds, but the elves’ pointed ears are an evident difference. Despite being quite average compared to the other species, elves live far longer than any of them, with the expected lifespan for an elf reaching seven hundred fifty years. All elves age very well, and even male elves in their late six hundreds can look young, but the female elves retain their fair appearance well into their old age. Besides age, elves’ greatest asset is their incredible eyesight, which is only bested by some of the creatures that roam the world. But their physical advantages stop there. Elves are slightly stronger than humans, have slightly better stamina, and heal marginally faster.
Over time, the elves’ appearance has changed, and before the Great War, they had a more rugged look. Beards were common among elves; they were bulky, and scars were common. Many elves joined the military at some point in their life, as it was seen as an honor to fight for their kingdom. Now, elves are a shell of their former selves. Fighting as a soldier is no longer an honor but nothing more than a job, with fewer elves willing to die for their kin.
At the height of their power, the elves were the third strongest species on Affer.

THE KINGDOM
To the southwest of Affer lies the elven kingdom. Although it isn’t as interesting as Yoxtoll Forest or Arrgon Desert, the elf’s domain is still stunning in its own right. Several forests and millions of trees inhabit the land, but it wasn’t always like that. Long ago, the land was barren, with very few trees. But one king wanted to change that. He had every city plant trees, and from there, more have grown over time.
To the southwest of the kingdom lie countless hills. Among those hills is the largest lyfume mine in Affer. The mine was constructed to gather the rock to build the wall around Lilthral, but once that was completed, it was closed down, and their original plan to build lyfume walls around every city was cast away, as it was deemed too difficult.

THE CAPITAL
Lilthral
Lilthral is the elves’ greatest work. The city has three different levels: the base, where the commonfolk live, along with all the businesses. The second floor is the high district, where the military post, ward, and the wealthy reside. The third floor is just for the palace, where the queen, her daughter, her right hand, and servants live. There are also many guards who live in the palace, and many elves go in and out of the building.
A large forest, known as Fiuden Forest by the elves, sits in front of the city. Most of the elven kingdom is surrounded by trees, but the forest in front of Lilthral is the densest on Affer.
