Hybrids

The hybrids dwell in the Arrgon Desert. The mostly barren wasteland is one of the hardest places to survive in the summer. Temperatures reach up to a hundred fifty degrees, and average one hundred twenty-five. The lack of food and water also makes it hard to survive. As if that wasn't bad enough, there are countless creatures that roam the land looking for their next meal.
The hybrids themselves are a mix of angels, demons, and elves. Some are a mix of only two, while others are all three. Long ago, before the Great War, they were also composed of humans, but after the war and the fall of humanity, the hybrids outlawed mating with humans. Any hybrid that had human blood inside them was executed. Being a mix of angels, demons, and elves, they share their abilities. However, they aren't quite the same as the purebloods. For example, those with demon blood aren't as strong, those with angel blood can see, but can't use echolocation. Elves are the most similar to the purebloods in terms of physical attributes, having slightly worse hearing and reflexes than full elves, but they have a drastically shorter lifespan. Hybrids will live anywhere from eighty to two hundred seventy-three years, based on what mix of species they are.

Arkanon

Arkanon consists of six levels and is built into the side of a mountain. There are three gates leading in and out of the city. Two of the gates connect to a military post, and the third is the main gate. The bottom level is where the arena, both military posts, and two wards are, along with many homes. The three floors above it are all just homes and mansions, becoming nicer higher up. While the top two floors are arguably the most important. The fifth floor houses the main forge for the city, the main training center, the main armory, and the kingdom's largest bank. On the top floor is the castle, which is so large that it merges into the mountain, with many halls and rooms fully encased by the mountain itself. The throne room is the hybrid's crowning achievement. The floor is made from one mammoth blue agate geode, and the walls are light calcareous sandstone with silver inlays. Statues of prior kings and queens decorated the room, and a silver throne sat at the back. Yet, the true beauty of the room was the ceiling. Adorning the ceiling was a mural of Arkanon with the large mountains sitting behind it, and their god, Sylous, shining down from above.

The hybrid kingdom

The Argon desert is a place many wish to avoid, but to the hybrids, it is only known as home. The kingdom has changed a fair bit over the many years, but it has never been more powerful than now. With a king who lusts for power, the military has grown exponentially, and they have the second-highest population of slaves. The kingdom was preparing for war when the human rebellion threw off their plan by going to war with the whole planet. Now they sit and wait for the humans to come to them, while they build their army up even greater.
