XUGA

(Zoo-ga)

Xugas are Arrgon Desert’s third most feared creature. They travel in packs of three to sixteen, but the smaller the pack is, the more violent and aggressive they are. Their skin is a sickly yellow, very rough, and bumpy. They have hoofed feet and two slender elongated eyes. Due to the harsh winds of the Arrgon Desert and the lack of protection for their eyes, they have very poor eyesight and rely heavily on their keen sense of smell and hearing to find prey and navigate. Their nose is two thin vertical holes at the end of their maw, and their ears blend into the xuga’s body, as they are three flaps, similar to gills, that open and close.

Running along most of their maw is the xugas’ mouth, filled with sharp teeth, each ridged with tiny sharp grooves that dig and hook onto their prey. To get any meat or other items that get stuck in their teeth, xugas have rough, barbed tongues, similar to cats’.
